The white wine Cuvée X trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Van Volxem has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Riesling, Weißburgunder, Chardonnay from the region Moselle in Germany.
Yeasty, savoury and citrusy on the nose, you get a sense of the provenance rather than the variety(ies), orange and tangerine, some hay, straw flowers. on the palate it shows with a vivid layer of suppleness and sweetness, but then also a piquant acidity, juicy and youthful, pithy finish with a delicate mineral tinge.
