The red wine Anfiteatro Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Vecchie Terre di Montefili has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese
It has a vivid ruby colour, with a dark core. It opens on the nose with slightly malty notes, black bread crust, earthy components, dried porcini mushrooms, and beetroot. There is plenty of juicy fruit on the palate, and it is fresh and crisp, with good tension and fine tannins on the finish.
