The white wine Domaine de Causse d'Arboras L'Autochtone Blanc Saint Guilhem le Désert IGP, vintage 2018 from the winery Vignobles Jeanjean has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Vermentino from the region Languedoc-Roussillon in France.
No added sulphur. Dark straw colour. Balsamic, freshly cooked apple sauce, cider - but not "loud", but quite nuanced and with interesting savoury, yeasty and mineral overtones. Straight built at the palate, mild acidity, suppleness and very slightly bitter material dominate the palate middle, the departure flavours take up the smell again, however, remain rather simple.
