The red wine Spätburgunder Réserve, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut & Privatkellerei Bimmerle KG has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Baden in Germany.
On the nose, an intense use of wood is evident, with smoky notes, almost tarry, vanilla, dark berry and elderberry fruit. The palate is taut, with youthful astringent tannins, and a firm backbone of acidity, still very compact and undeveloped, needs time in the bottle to mature and round out.
