The red wine Spätburgunder Auslese, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut F. J. Regnery has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Moselle in Germany.
Darjeeling, thyme, Ricola herb sugar, sweet almond and slate spicy notes. Silky attack, weighty and supple background, the tannin grain gains presence as the palate progresses, the mild acidity and alcohol strength do not prevent the impression of mineral raciness, the finish flavours show peppery slate spiciness. It is a very individual wine.
