The sweet and dessert wine Traminer Ried Stradener Rosenberg TBA, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Frauwallner Straden has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Traminer from the region Vulkanland Styria in Austria.
Bright medium golden yellow. Extremely fine savoury botrytis scents, delicate apricot jam, candied orange zest, and background tones of dried porcini mushrooms. Full-bodied, with a racy acidity sustained by sweetness, it appears to be still a notch underdeveloped, very salty, has excellent tension, and is enormously youthful. Still needs time but will last for many decades.
