Ripe heart cherries, wild blueberry, dried orange peel and sour cherry on the nose, with a hint of wood and an increasingly intense herbal spiciness that emerges with contact with the air. A short, supple attack is followed by an enormous amount of fine-grained tannins, then a core of fine, juicy, complex fruit and a firm but cultivated acidity that leads nicely into the finish. Very mineral.
