Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple glints, faintly lighter ochre hue at the rim. Delicately scented with wood nuances, subtle hints of cloves and vanilla underlaid with black-coloured berries, and a dash of liquorice. Juicy, elegant, ripe cherries, mature, velvety tannins, nougat on the finish, harmonious and persistent. A sturdy food accompaniment, good ageing potential.
