Tasting Notes
Dark, spicy nose with cassis, chocolate, plum, black pepper and leather, plus violet pastille. With a lot of substance on the palate and a large amount of ripe, fine-grained tannins, dense in the extract, savoury, with mineral tension, intense and long.
More about the tastingSpicy new wood (clove, cinnamon, vanilla) meets a ripe fruit with a hint of raisin. Aromas of black cherry and dried fig are also recognisable. After contact with the air, you can even get some slate savouriness on the nose. On the palate, the wine flows silky, smooth and round, charging the rich palate fruit with intense mineral perceptions and finishing with beguiling cherry fruit. A Côte Rôtie from the Middle Moselle, typical of the steep slopes through and through!
