The red wine Daniel Spätburgunder, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Georg Müller Stiftung has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Rheingau in Germany.
An ethereal cherry fruit, some pepper, balsamic tones, subtle wood. Good fullness on the attack, fine-grained tannins, fruity on the palate, a Pinot Noir with charm and appeal, very round and supple, with a savoury, aromatic finish.
More about the tastingStrong, savoury nose with black cherry, beet, chocolate, allspice, cedar wood, wet leaves. Well-balanced Burgundy with ripe, playful acidity in a clearly defined form. Slightly floral hints, medium-grained tannin, shows Pinot feeling.
