The red wine Pannobile Rot, vintage 2011 from the winery Weingut Gernot und Heike Heinrich has been rated in 2013 with 93 - 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour, opaque core, purple reflections, slightly watery rim. Dark berry fruit underlaid with fine spicy notes, ripe plum, some nougat, and a fine touch of oakiness in the background. Complex, ripe cherry fruit, refined acidity, dark berry on the finish. It is already accessible, and is an elegant food wine with ageing potential.
