Tasting Notes
Initially savoury, ripe aromas on the nose: somewhat reminiscent of asparagus, and green gooseberry, with aeration revealing peppery and citric notes of dried orange peel. The palate is taut and full-bodied with a lively backbone of acidity and restrained sweetness. A powerful wine!.
More about the tastingThe aroma reveals ripe grapes; Mirabelle plum, red gooseberry, but also a hint of bell pepper. In the mouth, the wine has juiciness and a good density, the sweetness-acidity ratio is under the leadership of the crisp acidity and reminds us that the wine was vinified on the Mosel. And a slight saltiness recalls that we are on the island of Rügen and close to the chalk.
