The white wine Riesling Lump, Escherndorf, vintage 2011 from the winery Weingut Horst Sauer has been rated in 2012 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Franconia in Germany.
Intense yellow colour. Clear bouquet still characterised by yeast ageing, fine herbal aromas, dense and subtle at the same time, but still restrained. Enormously piquant and racy on the palate, pure as rarely, far less opulent than before, but with immense tension and long-lasting saltiness, balanced, elegant body, compact, here too the iron fist clenches at the end. A great lump.
