The red wine Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut Josef Tesch has been rated in 2013 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark ruby, purple reflections, delicate watery rim. Aromas of blackberry and a hint of balsamic, underlaid with a subtle herbal note, tobacco nuances and ripe plums. Complex and powerful on the palate, notes of ripe plum, well-integrated tannins, pronounced fruit and a touch of chocolate on the finish, good length. Definite ageing potential.
