The Tesch family has made it their profession and vocation to produce excellent wines. In the municipality of Neckenmarkt in central Burgenland, with its deep, loamy soils, they find the best natural conditions for this. And yet it is not only terroir and climate that determine the quality of a wine. It also takes a harmonious interplay of craftsmanship, experience and intensive work to produce wines of the highest quality. For the Tesch family, this "art of winemaking" is more than "just" work. For them, it is an expression of joie de vivre and life culture, and you can taste it - in excellent wines in which the character of the region and grape has been "liquefied".
The Tesch family's vineyards cover a total of around 27 hectares on the foothills of the Ödenburg mountains. Vines up to 70 years old with varieties typical of the region thrive in the vineyards on Hochberg, Weisse Weg and in other top locations. The soil conditions are complex and each vineyard has its own microclimate and special characteristics. It is precisely these differences and typicities that are brought out in Tesch's wines through varietal and clear cultivation. At around 60 percent, the Blaufränkisch variety plays the main role in the Teschs' vineyards. Natural cultivation, yield limitation for the best quality grapes and careful hand-picking form the basis for the first-class wines. For some years now, the name Tesch and especially the wines of the house have been on everyone's lips. In the development of the wines, the company is committed to the Mittelburgenland region and focuses on authenticity. This results in wines in which you can taste the close connection with the region.
