The white wine Opus-Oskar Chardonnay, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Jülg has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter, Rainer Schäfer, Elena Scheer with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Still very youthful on the nose, with delicate woody notes and some limestone minerality in the background. With air contact, aromas of marmalade emerge. Dense and powerful, yet elegant, in the mouth, with very fine, ripe phenolics and refined acidity. It has enough extract for years (even decades) of bottle ageing; this is a wine that is completely at home with itself, with depth and definite ageing potential.
