The white wine »Steillage« Ballrechten-Dottingen Castellberg Silvaner trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Julius Zotz has been rated in 2018 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Baden in Germany.
The aroma is slow to pick up speed, but then comes on powerfully: with herbal notes, some yellow fruit, lime, finally almost flinty. Soft and supple on the palate, the steep slope is noticeable. Nevertheless, with a firm acid backbone and strong minerality.
