There is an aroma of ripe plum, with a fine spicy underlay, along with a hint of sage, and a subtle touch of bourbon vanilla. It is juicy, tightly woven, with good complexity, ripe tannins, oak spiciness on the finish, and a blackberry note on the aftertaste. It is a good food wine.
