The sparkling wine Sekt Austria Große Reserve Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Niederösterreich g.U. Furth, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Malat has been rated in 2024 by Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points.
Light golden yellow in colour with silver reflections, and a fine mousse. On the nose, a seductive fragrance, delicately underpinned with brioche, fine yellow tropical fruit, mango, white flowers, mandarin zest, and a hint of white nougat. The palate is juicy and elegant, with fine acidity, white stone fruit, some walnut notes, and a tightly meshed, saline mineral finish with white peach notes. Very long, one of the best sparkling wines in the country. (Deg. 11/23).
