Tasting Notes
Medium carmine-garnet colour, subtly undercoated, broad rim brightening. Ripe cherry confit on the nose, background with delicate herbal savouriness, a hint of liquorice and blackberries, some single malt wood savouriness with air. Juicy, round and elegant, well-integrated tannins, pronounced in fruit aftertaste, juicy cassis on the finish, sweet and balanced, already accessible, has certain ageing potential despite its muscularity, new-world character, would never be assigned to Germany blind.
