The red wine Pfarrwingert Spätburgunder, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Meyer-Näkel has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Ahr in Germany.
Piquant cherry, also balsamic and ethereal herbal savouriness. Pushy on the palate, very fine tannins that cover the palate like a silk veil, dense, firm, stable acidity, closed in the fruit but fresh and homogeneous, concise in its minerality. Still very restrained and asking for bottle ageing.
