The white wine Leiwen Laurentiuslay Riesling Spätlese, vintage 2008 from the winery Weingut Nikolaus Köwerich has been rated in 2019 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Some caramel, but also floral aromas, herbs, hyssop, and saffron. On the palate it is a juicy and sinewy spätlese with a lively acidic nerve and matching rather discreet sweetness. It is still full-bodied and for all its maturity far from the end of its life.
