The red wine Leithaberg DAC rot Ried Marienthal, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Prieler has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Leithaberg in Austria.
Strong ruby colour with purple reflections, brightening at the rim. The bouquet is still somewhat restrained, with delicate tobacco, nuances of wild berries, tangerine zest, and dark minerality. Of medium complexity, it has fine fruit, fine nougat, silky tannins, and a good, savoury finish. Good ageing potential.
