The red wine »Schwarzwild« Cuvée trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Ruppert-Deginther has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 89 - 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Dunkelfelder, Merlot from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Purple in colour. Lots of fruit and savouriness on the nose, with notes of mocha, smoke, dark chocolate, sloes and wild berries. On the palate, high tannins, enhanced by the wood maturation, pronounced fruit, a peppery savouriness and a touch of spiciness. A powerfully structured wine with good overall balance.
