The red wine The Legends, vintage 2017 from the winery Scheiblhofer The Wine has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby garnet with purple reflections and a touch of edge brightening. Fine tobacco-herb spice, some cassis, cocoa notes and dark forest berry jam on the nose. The palate is juicy and fruity-sweet, with elegant, well-integrated tannins. Heart cherries show on the mineral finish. A versatile food companion.
More about the tastingDeep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Delicately smoky, herbal and spicy black berry fruit, dark cherries, a hint of cassis and nougat caramel. Powerful, full-bodied, present, spicy tannins, saline minerality on the finish, sweet cherries on the finish, will benefit from bottle ageing.
