The white wine Doctor Riesling GG, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Schloss Lieser has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Shattered rock on the nose with mandarin, pepper, incense and cassis. Understated on the palate, but also with punchy, plush phenolics, supple, generous mouthfeel, firm acidity, yet not a massive wine. The extract is finely chiselled, the sweetness remains delicate, fleshing out the fruit and the extremely dense terpenes of the wine. Not opulent, but substantial due to the ethereal-mineral extract.
