The white wine »Collection« Sauvignon blanc et gris, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Schloss Ortenberg has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Baden in Germany.
Still closed nose but one finds a discreet wood note as well as initial hints of tropical fruit. In the mouth, the wine proves to be powerful with subtle phenolics and firm acidity forming a taut backbone, mineral components enhance freshness and tension. Very good ageing potential.
