There is an almost flamboyant Pinot aroma: wild raspberry, ripe cocktail tomato, glowing iron, plus a hint of chocolate from the wood. The palate begins supple, almost oily, then unfolds mellow, dense but not over-concentrated tannins. The finish again blends mineral sensations into the fruit.
