The red wine Rhodt Klosterpfad Syrah trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Stefan Meyer has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Smoky, peppery and herbal flavours. This is followed by dark red fruit and flavours of rose and clove. Juicy herbaceousness on the palate, tart, ripe and at the same time mellow tannin, followed by fine tobacco and cassis notes. Attractive minerality in the successful finish.
More about the tastingThe nose already shows an intense spiciness, aromas of dried meat, fine smoke, some menthol, but also sour cherry and raisin. The palate is tightly bundled, grainy, rich tannins, Pfalz fullness meets Rhône austerity, very good ageing potential.
