Tasting Notes
Subtle, roasted wood, mocha, yellow plum, very ripe nectarine, some cassis. Taut acidity, full-bodied, sinewy, good density and lots of tension, the acidity and the concise arc of tension make for an almost slender impression. Nevertheless, the wine has enormous power. Aromatically homogeneous, fresh finish.
More about the tastingOn the nose this has a hint of oak, plus nectarine, red gooseberry, and stewed apple. On the palate it unfolds beautifully and is supported by quite vivid acidity. There is lovely fruit, a subtle oakiness, and with still a hint of youthful astringency. It could develop to a thorough fullness.
