The white wine »Silvaner halt!« Silvaner trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut von der Tann has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Silvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Spicy and herbal notes on the nose, apple, pear, meadow herbs, also some malt and elderflower. Juicy and spicy with a slender stature, dry, with neat phenolics, apple peel, medium-bodied in extract, clear and natural in expression.
More about the tastingThis Silvaner is not at all simple on the nose. Not only are there aromas of yellow apple and lovely pear, but also herbal notes, hay, and hemp leaf. It is extremely appealing on the palate. It is very juicy, initially appetizingly fresh and spicy, and with a beautiful density in the mid palate.
