The white wine »500« Sauvignon Blanc trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut von Winning has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sauvignon Blanc from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Golden yellow hue. Toasty new oak, smoky, but also floral. Gooseberry compote, apricot. On the palate, voluminous, full-bodied, quite broad in structure with rather restrained acidity and so it is the phenols retaining the structure. Still needs time to evolve.
