Spicy new wood, notes like vanilla pudding hold the upper hand over the variety (red gooseberry). On the palate, smooth, substance and ripe fruit come together - this is definitely not the "green" style of the variety, a wine with a full-bodied breadth, but also with a fine, nervous balance.
