The orange wine »White Thanisch Orangewine« Riesling trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Wwe. Dr. H. Thanisch – Erben Müller-Burggraef has been rated in 2019 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Quite a complex apple note to the nose - fresh Gravensteiner and Boskoop in particular - as well as balsamic and herbal undertones and some mint. Softly attacking in the mouth, it's plump and supple, then immediately in comes the slate spice and a peppery, ripe acidity. Dry phenolics accentuate the finish.
