Subtle smoky notes from new oak and ripe, pure blackcurrant fruit define the aroma. There are also hints of cherry liqueur and milk chocolate. The palate is overall round and smooth, with plenty of richness, but also with a delicate acidity that breaks up the rounded style and sets the stage for the juiciness of the finish. Stylistically very refined.
