The white wine Dalsheim Steig Chardonnay Barrique trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Zink – Die Weinschmiede has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Honeydew melon on the nose with caramelised walnuts, pear and hints of vanilla. Broad on the palate with a powerful texture and good concentration. Textural and juicy, generous in its dimensions with a sweet extract on the finish. Good use of wood. A very youthful wine, good ageing potential.
