Deep carmine-garnet color with ochre highlights and a broader lightening at the rim. Aromas of fine wood underpinned by tobacco and spice, with notes of vanilla, dark fruit, a hint of cassis, and black cherries; an intense bouquet. Powerful, complex, with subtle toasted notes, blackberries, a hint of sweetness on the finish, and a mineral aftertaste; ready to drink now, but will benefit from further bottle aging.
