Stufvenäs Gästgifveri, with a heritage as an inn dating back to the late 18th century, is a classic Småland guesthouse where you are offered a genuine, all-encompassing experience for all the senses. We distinguish ourselves through a personal kind of hospitality, marked by warmth and care, set in a harmonious and inspiring environment.
We are a modern hotel with 73 rooms and a well-renowned restaurant serving traditional dishes with a contemporary touch. Our menus follow the rhythm of the seasons, and whenever possible we use carefully selected local or Swedish ingredients.
In 2007, our wine cellar was broken into. Seventeen years of collecting, 6,000 bottles, were stolen, today estimated at a market value of around SEK 30 million. After the theft, the cellar was sealed, and in recent years it has slowly begun to be rebuilt. Today, it holds approximately 3,500 bottles and 600 unique labels.
We are also a well-frequented conference venue, featuring a congress hall for up to 220 participants, 10 modern conference rooms, and 6 breakout rooms.
On site, you will find a much-appreciated spa with a stunning view over the Kalmar Strait. It is in contrasts and opposites that we experience the world: like the warmth of the morning sun after a cool night; the release of tension in tired muscles; sudden, joyful laughter far removed from the stress of everyday life.
