Mirage Garden: New Outdoor Dining Area in Vienna's Prater

Opening
Vienna

The “Mirage Garden,” a new outdoor dining area with a lounge terrace that seats about 220 guests, is opening in Vienna’s Prater. In addition to live artistic performances, the Airstream trailer offers international street food creations, cocktails, and regional wines.

Two years ago, the “Mirage” event venue opened its doors, bringing a variety of dinner shows—such as the burlesque dinner shows, the drag brunch, and the candlelight dinner concert—to Vienna’s Prater. Now, the owners of “Mirage” are expanding their venue at the Wurstelprater with a new outdoor seating area, thereby moving some of their live performances outside.

Pop-up Performances & Shows

Spanning approximately 445 square meters, the venue can accommodate about 220 guests: the garden area, the terrace, and the exclusive lounge terrace are perfect for relaxing afternoons and summer evenings. Passing through an illuminated wooden archway and walking down the red carpet, guests enter the garden—and, in a way, step into a different world: Artists from the sister venue “Mirage” will regularly move to the garden for exclusive pop-up performances, turning the outdoor area into a second stage.

Roast Beef, Corn Ribs, and Pimientos de Padrón

Summer drinks and wines are served from a stylishly decorated Airstream: from select Austrian wines to Spritz variations and draft beer, as well as non-alcoholic refreshments, special signature drinks, and homemade lemonades. The culinary focus is on “Elevated International Street Food”: high-quality dishes with international inspiration —including edamame, pulled chicken tacos, corn ribs & pimientos de Padrón, truffle mac & cheese, and roast beef.

With the “Mirage Garden,” wewanted to create a place where enjoyment, music, and special encounters come together quite naturally. The Vienna Prater has always been a place of emotions—and that is exactly what we want to bring to life in a contemporary way with our new concept.

– Philipp Grünbacher

At the official opening on July 10, Philipp Grünbacher, CEO of the Mozart Event Group—which now also includes the “Mirage Garden”— and Managing Director Thomas Chang Jin, along with 350 invited guests, toasted a new chapter at Vienna’s Prater—featuring spectacular live performances by artists from Cirque Rouge, relaxing music, and “flying food” under the open sky.

“The Mirage Garden invites its guests to enjoy the summer in a unique atmosphere well into the night,” said Managing Director Thomas Chang Jin. “With its blend of stylish outdoor ambiance, dining, live entertainment, and urban lifestyle, it’s setting a new standard in Vienna’s Prater and establishing itself as a gathering place for balmy summer evenings, special events, and unforgettable nights.”

In addition to its regular operations, the “Mirage Garden” is also available for private parties, corporate events, and exclusive gatherings.
