Inspired by a year spent as a bartender in the USA, Josef Rottenbücher founded his American Bar in a former restaurant. The terrace is a highlight, but the old vaulted cellar downstairs is unique. The range includes many classics as well as exciting signature drinks.
In 1997, something unique was created in the west of Stuttgart - the BAR. An iconic pub where you can find peace and quiet, yet easily strike up a conversation and forget the time even more easily. A place with a certain magic and where first-class cocktails and lovingly selected single malt whisk(e)ys are offered.
Stylish cocktail bar on Stuttgart's Wilhelmsplatz, where operator Knud Scheibelt focuses on creative recipes and high-quality spirits. He was inspired by American film noirs when furnishing the room, which measures just 28 square metres. The menu includes 250 different types of whisk(e)y.
This cult bar in a side street in the Leonhardsviertel district is decorated in a fine British style. The menu includes highballs, craft beer and, above all, plenty of gin, rum and whisk(e)y varieties. The bartenders wear suspenders and olives are served with the drinks - lovers of good old-fashioned bar culture will get their money's worth here.
Anyone who has never had a "Star of Bombay" through a straw should definitely do so. Nice and lemony and refreshing, but with enough tart elements to make you remember how absurd the whole human thing can sometimes be. But as we all know, good drinks can help you get over that.
