The name "Schwarzes Schwein" (Black Pig) is the clue to the family business, as it runs its own pig farm. The inimitable flavour is evident in the cured ham and sausages, traditional dishes such as cream of pumpkin soup or pork fillet are served, as well as snails.
The restaurant is traditionally and comfortably furnished, with a tiled stove and dark wooden frames that bring times gone by to life. The cuisine also succeeds in doing this with down-to-earth dishes such as stews, beef stew with fluffy gnocchi, local fish or tenderly braised dishes from the Peka.
Tradition since 1905 - that's the best way to describe this family business. Local ingredients are used to create down-to-earth dishes with heart. The meat from their own farm is carefully matured, the beef carpaccio and juicy, tender steaks as well as their own freshwater fish are tops.
