Andaz Prague: New Luxury Hotel in Czech Capital

Prague's historic Old Town boasts a new five-star hotel – Andaz Prague is dedicated to the city's history and shines with neoclassical design and modern Czech cuisine.

Glamour of the monarchy in the middle of Prague: The new five-star hotel Andaz Prague from the Hyatt group opens after a two-and-a-half-year renovation on the historic Senovážné Square. The luxury hotel in a neoclassical, listed palace, which was originally built in 1912, intends to reflect Prague's diverse history and culture and appeal to tourists and locals alike.

Salons instead of a lobby

The hotel's rooms are representative of the Andaz brand and are intended to offer "the unconventional, the surprising, the extraordinary", hotel director Doris Hecht says in a press release. Instead of an ordinary lobby, guests can expect three "living rooms", each with a different theme. These include a library true to the one in the Strahov monastery, another room decorated with Czech glassblowing art and a third dedicated to the alchemists of Emperor Rudolf II.

Traditional Czech cuisine, modern interpretation

In terms of cuisine, the Andaz Prague also focuses on history and typical local dishes: The hotel's restaurant ZEM serves traditional Czech cuisine with a modern touch, which is intended to appeal Prague locals as well as guests. The luxury hotel's offer is rounded off by the cocktail bar MEZ and the Klára Rott spa.
