The Grand Hôtel Stockholm has secured the top spot in the 2025 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, earning the title of Best Hotel in Scandinavia.
The Grand Hôtel Stockholm has been named the best hotel in Scandinavia in the 2025 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards. The annual list is based on the picks of nearly 180,000 readers who rated criteria such as rooms and facilities, location, service, food, and value.
This year marks the 30th edition of the World’s Best Awards, with the Grand Hôtel Stockholm securing first place in the Scandinavian hotel category after coming in second last year.
The result reflects the hotel’s consistently high standards and strong reputation among both international and domestic guests. Established in 1874 and located on the Stockholm waterfront, the Grand Hôtel has long been a prominent name in Nordic hospitality. It features several dining venues, including restaurants led by acclaimed chef Mathias Dahlgren, as well as the Cadierbaren and the Veranda restaurant, famous for its view of the Royal Palace.
In addition to its exceptional menu, the hotel boasts a spa with a sauna and fitness facilities, contributing to its appeal to leisure and business travelers alike.
The 2025 World’s Best Awards included over 657,000 votes casted for over 8,700 destinations, hotels, cities and travel providers. The Grand Hôtel Stockholm’s top ranking confirms its reputation as a leading hotel in the Scandinavian region. Second and third place went to the NH Hotel Copenhagen and the Grand Hotel Oslo, respectively.
