Experiences
Gourmet

In the run-up to "World's 50 Best Restaurants," Asia's best restaurants in 2024 were once again selected in a sub-discipline. The first place comes a bit as a surprise.

Every year, foodies eagerly await the announcement of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. In 2024, the award ceremony in the supreme discipline will take place on June 5 in Las Vegas. To make the wait a little easier, there are lists of winners in other categories in advance. Recently published: The best restaurants in Asia 2024 – zumindest wenn es nach der Expertenjury von “World’s 50 Best” geht.

3: Gaggan Anand, Bangkok

Chief: Gaggan Anand
Must Try: “Lick it Up”
Price: Tasting menu approx. € 380,- without wine accompaniment

Gaggan Anand

What the Indian chef Gaggan Anand served here, he calls - not very modestly, but aptly - “Food Opera”. The dining experience is correspondingly theatrical. Guests can look forward to a multi-sensory journey. Gaggan incorporates light, smell, taste, music and even haptics into his presentation. While Indian echoes omnipresent, every course surprises with its uniqueness. No wonder, as the restaurant is the best restaurant in Thailand in 2024, at least according to the “World’s 50 Best” Experts.

Kawate serviert, was man wohl “plant forward” nennt. Gäste essen an einem langen Tisch gemeinsam – so wird das Dinner zum sozialen Erlebnis.
