Best of Copenhagen: Where to Stay

There's no shortage of great hotels in the Danish capital. These addresses are bursting with Nordic cool.

Coco Hotel

A friendly boutique hotel in a very central location, free of unnecessary luxury but with tasteful decor, a green courtyard, a coffee bar in the lobby, and DJ sets on weekends. Sustainability is a top priority—bedding is made from organically produced linen, and electricity comes from the hotel’s own solar power plant in Jutland.

Kanalhuset

A truly special hotel, Kanalhuset is located in the island district of Christianshavn. Housed in an impressive, heritage-listed building from the 18th century, it was once a boarding school for naval cadets. The interiors feature Danish vintage furniture, adding to its unique charm. One of the hotel's standout features is its restaurant, where guests dine at communal tables, reminiscent of hotels in bygone eras.
