‘Bridgerton’ Season 4: These Hotels Bring Recency Flair

Travel Industry

"Bridgerton" fans watch out: The "fine London society" is already returning in January 2026, as "Netflix" recently spoiled. Time to take a look at the world's most magnificent hotels that transport guests back to the splendid Recency period.

A small glitch on "Netflix Netherlands" caused quite a stir among fans of the hit series "Bridgerton " at the weekend. An Instagram post that was probably published by mistake revealed more than planned - namely the start date of the fourth season. According to the report, "fine London society" will return to the screens as early as January 2026. The first three seasons captivated viewers all over the world. From magnificent ballrooms to opulent rooms, we have found hotels that make guests feel like royalty and transport them to the glamorous world of the 19th century.

Villa d'Este on Lake Como

Travel back in time and feel like a member of the 19th century aristocracy? This is possible at the exquisite "Villa d'Este" on picturesque Lake Como. Since 1873, this historic jewel has been welcoming the haute époque and discerning travelers seeking exclusive seclusion and the charm of the Belle Époque. A particular highlight is the Mosaic House, hidden in the iconic mosaic garden and its nymphaeum. Accessible via a hidden inner courtyard, it is an insider tip and offers a spectacular view of the old fortifications surrounding the park.

Le Grand Contrôle, a hotel in the Palace of Versailles

A fascinating window into France's royal past : the building "Le Grand Contrôle" was built in 1681 by Jules Hardouin-Mansart, Louis XIV's favorite architect. Once the residence of the royal financial controller, today it stands for the glorious heyday of Versailles and invites you to travel back to its magnificent past. In 2021, the French hotel group "Airelles" opened the doors of "Le Grand Contrôle", making it the only hotel on the grounds of the famous Palace of Versailles. Under the direction of architect and interior designer Christophe Tollemer, the house was restored to its former glory down to the smallest detail, taking into account its centuries-old history.

Hotel Café Royal in London

Where better to feel like you're in "Bridgerton" than in the city where it's set: London. The luxury hotel "Hotel Café Royal" is not just a reminiscence of London's glamorous history, however; even today, parties can still be celebrated in the historic part of the hotel. The highlight is the listed "Pompadour" ballroom with its mirrored panels, golden details, richly decorated ceiling and view of Regent Street, as well as the historic "The Grill Room", where classic London tea time is still celebrated today.

Oscar Wilde chose the two Michelin-starred Café Royal - and its wide selection of wines - for his salon, while Winston Churchill preferred steaks, Stilton and champagne.

"Relais & Châteaux The Bath Priory" in the southwest of England

The house, which dates back to 1835, transports guests back to days long past and creates a perfect bridge to the present thanks to the stylish contemporary furnishings in the rooms. Guests who have taken a stroll through the award-winning garden and enjoyed some peace and quiet in "The Garden Spa by L'Occitane" can recharge their batteries for a day out. And this is particularly worthwhile for all fans of the series in Bath, as the original outdoor filming location for the Featherinton family home is located at No. 1 Royal Crescent.
