Uber is bringing jet-set flair to the Amalfi Coast: This high season, private helicopter flights and exclusive boat tours will be available to book directly through the app for the first time.
Anyone who previously thought that Uber was just a practical app for quick rides around the city is welcome to rethink their ideas. Just in time for the high season on the Amalfi Coast, the mobility giant is expanding its portfolio and bringing a new level of luxury directly to smartphones with Uber Copter and Uber Boat.
Instead of getting stuck in typical coastal traffic, holidaymakers will be able to fly back and forth between Sorrento and Capri by private helicopter from June 25, 2025. For a handsome price of 1,500 euros per flight, i.e. 250 euros per person with a full six-person crew, you not only get the helicopter, but also the complete door-to-door service from the hotel to the landing site.
If you prefer traveling on water, you will get your money's worth with Uber Boat. The Amalfi Coast can be explored for four hours on an Italian boat - with space for up to twelve guests, who can be pampered on board with snacks, drinks and an experienced skipper. He not only knows the best grottos and hidden bays, but also ensures that you can sit back and relax.
Another treat for all travelers: With Uber Reserve, ground transportation on the Amalfi Coast can now also be better planned. Trips can be booked up to 90 days in advance - an option that should be particularly helpful with the expected flood of visitors at Salerno Airport. After all, nobody wants to end up in another queue after landing.
