New luxury hotel Sommerro to open in Oslo next month

Nordic Hotels & Resorts has announced that its latest project Sommerro is set to open in Oslo in September 2022.

Located in one of Oslo's oldest neighbourhoods, the latest luxury hotel Sommerro is Norway’s largest-ever preservation project. Featuring 231 rooms and luxury suites, 56 branded residences, four restaurants, three bars, a sprawling wellness centre, the hotel is expected to become a luxurious, modern tribute to Norwegian cultural heritage.

In addition to the sleek new Art Deco design, Sommerro also brings back one of Norway’s last remaining public baths. It is located in its sprawling wellness paradise which includes a series of treatment rooms, a Roman bath and sauna, a vast fitness room and the original swimming pool with its magnificent per krohg mosaic, the website states. Meanwhile, the hotel’s all-day dining spot will offer diners seasonal and crowd-pleasing dishes inspired by unique Norwegian-Japanese cuisine style.

Sommerro is set to open on 1 September, 2022 and rates start from £205/$248 per double room including breakfast.
