New openings in Kitzbühel: the gastro scene in Gamsstadt is on the move

The "Mocking" reinvents itself, the Winkler brothers rely on the soufflé Wiener Schnitzel, known from Kitchen Impossible, the "Beet Boys" spread vacation mood and "Fridel's Harley Bar" scores with live music.

Kitzbühel is not only a paradise for skiers and hikers, but also a veritable land of milk and honey for gourmets. Whether traditional or international, a variety of restaurants offer a wide selection of dishes from around the world; from Mediterranean cuisine to Asian fusion to international fine dining. Whether conversion, renovation, new restaurant or store concept: Falstaff has gone searching.

Since July 19, the Kitzbühel siblings Martin Huber and Andrea Posch present the new entrance area and the new Stüberl of the "Mocking". They proceed to spoil us with intense taste experiences in the rhythm of the seasons, where classic Austrian dishes are interpreted in a modern and creative way. The opening of the new, partly covered terrace with a view of the Kitzbühel mountains is planned for August.

For a few weeks now, Ralf Berner and Stefan Monitzer have been giving the traditional inn "zum Rehkitz", which is located in a 200 year old farmhouse, a new lease of life.

The former Auwirte, Nina and Christian Grobeis set in the "Restaurant Gold", in the exclusive showroom of Gasteiger, is now based on purity, organic produce and a welcome manner as hosts.

The "Branderhofstube" at the entrance to the Aurach Wildlife Park has been renovated. The main focus was on the new Stüberl with a panoramic view of the Kitzbühel Alps. Over 30 herbs from their kitchen garden are used in the local delicacies and also in the homemade drinks.

The Winkler brothers are cooking again this year, in the summer at the "Waldbad Gieringer Weiher". Guest chef Christian Winkler serves pizza with fresh sourdough and the best ingredients on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday is Schnitzel Day with the souffled Wiener Schnitzel, known from Kitchen Impossible, and on Monday changing dishes in street food style are on the menu.

Three young locals have formed the "Beet Boys" and spread vacation cheer Wednesdays through Sundays with their food truck, in the leafy courtyard of the Koppelmann nursery. Offering falafel, skewers from the yakitori grill, summer salads and weekly specials, accompanied by homemade lemonade.

At "Rosi's Sonnbergstuben", "Fridel's Harley Bar" serves special cocktails in addition to pizza, burgers and spare ribs. Beer tastings and regular events with live music are available for bikers and everyone else.
