Chestnut Latte

This coffee-chestnut creation tastes like autumn in a glass.

Ingredients
200 g chestnuts, pre-cooked
1 double espresso (eg from JURA fully automatic coffee machine)
5 tablespoon(s) sugar
5 tablespoon(s) water
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
milk
1 pinch(es) vanilla sugar
caramelised chestnuts
  • Pour water, sugar and cinnamon into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Then add the chestnuts and mash with a fork or use a hand blender.
  • Put about a tablespoon of the chestnut purée into a large glass, pour in the espresso and stir well. Froth the milk, sweeten with vanilla sugar and pour into the glass.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon and caramelised chestnuts on top. The autumnal coffee treat is ready!

Tip:

The leftover chestnut puree is enough for about four more servings. It will stay fresh in an airtight jar in the fridge for several days.
